About the Role
The main purpose of this role is as follows:
-
Responsible for the overall graphic design requirements of all retail outlets.

To conceptualize design for special events and projects and to coordinate with the appropriate departments.

To oversee the daily activities of direct reports.
The job holder is expected to carry out the following:
-
Create designs, concepts and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. Includes coordination with appropriate department and Managers in conceptualizing the designs and graphics.

Determine and select the size, style, measurement and arrangement of illustrative or graphic materials and signage and ensure proper placement at all times.

Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, product brochures, shop branding, visual aids and signage.

Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.

Source materials for campaigns and special events, ensure equipment are in good working conditions and arranges for necessary upgrades.

Ensure that the technical equipment for signage production is in excellent working condition and arrange for the necessary equipment upgrade.

Source materials and communicate with suppliers all graphic and signage related tasks.

Perform any other task as deemed necessary by the Supervisor – Graphic Design.
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate will be screened and assessed based on the following requirements.
-
Degree or equivalent qualification in Fine Arts, Visual Communication or Graphic Design.
-
Preferably with 3 years working experience as Assistant Supervisor - Graphic Design.
-
Excellent communication skills in written & spoken English.
-
Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software (i.e. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat, Premier) including their applications and programming.

Conditions of Employment

Work in different locations within the Dubai Duty Free airport operations.
Wear corporate uniform.
